Kinhive
Accessibility
Kinhive is for women building companies, and that has to include women with disabilities. We want everyone to be able to use Kinhive, and we design and test with accessibility in mind.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across kinhive.com and the Kinhive app.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML, labeled form fields and visible keyboard focus throughout.
- Write alt text for our photography and keep decorative images hidden from screen readers.
- Check color contrast for text and controls, and avoid relying on color alone.
- Respect reduced-motion settings and keep animation subtle.
- Support zoom up to 200% and layouts that work on small screens.
Known limitations
Some parts of Kinhive are harder to make fully accessible. The virtual coworking room is a visual floor plan; everything you can do there (seeing who is in the room, chatting and waving) is also available in its side panel. Images that members upload may not have descriptions. We are working on both.
Feedback
If something on Kinhive is hard to use with your setup, please tell us at support@kinhive.com. Include the page and what you were trying to do, and we will reply within two business days and work with you on a fix or an alternative.
