Women’s Professional Network Kinhive Relaunches, Rebuilding Its AI Matchmaking Around Community Instead of Hiring

The relaunched platform connects women founders and entrepreneurs with the kindred spirits who become their real support system—the standing calls that start with “how’s business?” and end up somewhere far more personal

BOISE, ID — July 7, 2026 — Kinhive, an AI-powered community and networking platform for women founders and collaborators, announced today the relaunch of its product. Kinhive used to match women who wanted to hire with women looking for work. Now, it uses that same matchmaking to help you find the women who belong in your corner—the collaborators, cofounders, mentors, and friends who support you, celebrate your wins, and are there when you need them most.

More than 800 women joined Kinhive in its first few weeks after initially launching last summer, and thousands of connections were made through the platform. As the community grew, so did its purpose. Guided by feedback from its members, Kinhive’s twin-sister founders expanded the platform’s focus beyond networking to create a community centered on meaningful relationships, ongoing support, and connection.

“Our matchmaking was powerful from day one. We just focused on the wrong goal,” said Caitie Sfingi, cofounder of Kinhive. “What women actually need isn’t a job board with AI. It’s to be introduced to the people who can actually change the trajectory of their lives—not just professionally but personally, too. The ones who give you actual advice, celebrate your wins, and pick up the phone at 11 p.m. We improved our underlying AI and then rebuilt every signal to focus on community instead of filling jobs.”

Kinhive removed the two-sided, hire-or-be-hired architecture that had constrained its matching, so any member can now be matched with any other. New and updated features include:

  • Expanded AI matchmaking: The engine now introduces members to professional peers, collaborators, cofounders, and mentors, rather than routing them only to people they might hire or work for.
  • Live virtual coworking: Spatial chat lets members build alongside one another instead of alone.
  • Story-style updates: Members can share what they’re working on in real time.
  • New ways to follow other builders’ journeys: Members get closer access to the real highs and lows, rather than a curated highlight reel.
  • A weekly newsletter: Fundraising opportunities, community news, and member spotlights.

Android and Mac desktop apps are scheduled to arrive later in 2026, joining the existing iOS app.

“The best professional relationships eventually become about much more than what you do for work,” said Maggie Sfingi, cofounder of Kinhive. “You might ask about their business, but by the end of a Zoom catch-up call, you’re talking about their new house and the garden they just started. Those are the people who make you better at what you do and more whole as a person. Kinhive exists to introduce you to them.”

Kinhive was founded by twin sisters Caitie Sfingi and Maggie Sfingi, who are also the cofounders of Merakite, a software design and development agency. The company rebuilt the platform over the spring of 2026, incorporating feedback from its original members.
